How To Make Parking Permits Using Teslin Paper

Example of a paking permit

If you're tasked with making your own parking permits - not to worry, it is actually fairly easy using Teslin® Paper and Full Sheet Laminates. Once laminated, Teslin® Substrate forms a full bond with a laminate, so you can cut it to any shape you require and the sheet will remain intact with no laminate edges or breakage. You can make a parking pass that goes over a vehicle's mirror, or one that simply is placed on the dashboard - it's up to you.

Once you've ordered your Teslin Paper and full sheet laminates it comes time to design your parking pass. You will want to decide now whether you will want a hanging parking pass, or a dashboard pass. Hanging passes are best when the grounds are going to be patrolled for cars that should not be there, or when the pass will be reused for many days, weeks, or months. Dashboard passes are ideal for simple event parking that is in a gated lot and is mainly for record keeping.

If you will be using a dashboard pass you can feel free to use our ID Die Cutter and use passes that are normal credit card size - 3.375" x 2.125". If you plan to make hanging parking permits, you will need a custom die press. For more information on custom die presses please contact us.
